Nanyang Technological University is a research-intensive university in Singapore with its main campus at 50 Nanyang Avenue. Its roots go back to Nanyang University (1955); it was set up as Nanyang Technological Institute in 1981 and became NTU in 1991. It has about 40,700 students and colleges covering engineering, business, computing, science, humanities and medicine.
